Movement Operations Associate – Data Processing

About the role

The Movement Operations Associate (Data Processing) supports IOM’s mission to facilitate safe and orderly migration by handling the data and documentation required for travel assistance. Working under the supervision of senior movement officers, the associate ensures accurate recording and secure management of migrant travel information.

Key responsibilities

• Record demographic and biographic information in the MiMOSA system upon receipt of travel requests.
• Confirm receipt of requests to the Resettlement Support Center and notify supervisors.
• Secure, account for, and store travel documents in line with local Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain limited access to physical files and ensure data protection according to IOM guidelines.
• Process exit permits in coordination with supervisors, IOM colleagues, and relevant authorities.
• Coordinate the issuance and timely dispatch of travel documents with Operations colleagues.

Required profile

• Ability to accurately enter and manage data in a specialized migration system.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures for document handling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
• Effective communication with supervisors and partner agencies.

Required skills

• MiMOSA (migration data management system)
