Movement Operations Associate – Team Leader (Field Support)

About the role

The Movement Operations Associate – Team Leader (Field Support) supports the organized movement of migrants and refugees by overseeing field activities at airports, transit centres, camps or other operational sites. Reporting to the Senior Movement Operations Manager and the National Associate Movement Operations Officer, the role ensures that travel documentation and airport procedures are handled efficiently and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field operations in assigned locations such as airports, transit centres, third‑party facilities or camps.
• Monitor and guide Operations Clerks and Operations Assistants to complete field support tasks.
• Lead Field Support Teams in delivering airport services, including custodial care of travel documents, identity verification, and assistance with visas, tickets and exit permissions.
• Assist migrants and refugees with airport formalities such as curb‑side assistance, check‑in, luggage handling, immigration procedures, security screening and customs clearance.
• Coordinate with supervisors to ensure compliance with framework agreements and partner requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in field‑based movement operations or airport support services.
• Ability to supervise and mentor small teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail when handling travel documentation and verifying identities.
• Good understanding of immigration, security screening and customs procedures.
• Willingness to work under the guidance of senior movement operations managers.
