National Consultant – Economic Reintegration, Private Sector Engagement & Financial Inclusion

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a National Consultant to support economic reintegration, private sector engagement and financial inclusion initiatives across its Ethiopia programmes. The consultant will work closely with the Protection and Programme Support Unit and liaise with all IOM Ethiopia units to ensure an integrated approach.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure private sector engagement aligns with IOM guidelines and programme objectives.
• Develop and implement referral pathways, service linkage mechanisms and partnership frameworks.
• Facilitate public‑private partnerships with government agencies, chambers of commerce, financial institutions and private enterprises.
• Support livelihood and employment promotion programmes, including apprenticeships, internships and SME development.
• Provide technical advice on financial inclusion and access‑to‑finance initiatives.
• Monitor and report on programme performance and impact.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a university degree with seven years of experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in economic reintegration, livelihoods programming, private sector engagement, entrepreneurship, SME development or financial inclusion.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing public‑private partnership models.
• Experience working in humanitarian, development or transition contexts, preferably with migration‑related programmes.
