Project Associate – Reintegration (Affiliate Contractor)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Affiliate Contractor to join its Reintegration sub‑unit in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia. Working under the supervision of the Programme Officer (Return and Reintegration) and the National Officer (Reintegration), the Project Associate will contribute to IOM’s mission of providing safe, dignified return and comprehensive reintegration assistance to migrants.

Key responsibilities

• Support the reintegration team in implementing Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) activities.
• Assist in delivering tailored economic, social and psychosocial support to returnees.
• Coordinate with government counterparts, service providers and partners to strengthen national reintegration capacities.
• Help ensure protection‑sensitive programming for vulnerable groups.
• Participate in monitoring, documentation and reporting on reintegration programmes.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in migration, protection or reintegration programmes.
• Ability to work under supervision in a multicultural, humanitarian environment.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
