Senior Project Associate – Health (EPHI) – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Senior Project Associate will support IOM's Health and MHPSS team in implementing health‑related projects in Addis Ababa, working closely with the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring project activities in line with IOM objectives.
• Compile, analyse and present data on project topics, highlighting key issues for IOM and EPHI.
• Act as the focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with EPHI units and external parties to obtain clearances and follow‑up on actions.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics and statistical tables.
• Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions, preparing materials and delivering capacity‑building sessions.
• Provide guidance and support to IOM and EPHI staff, and contribute to SOPs, concept papers and new project development.

Required profile

• University degree with at least four years of relevant experience, or secondary school diploma with six years of experience.
• Previous experience working with the Ethiopian Public Health Institute or similar health organisations.
• Fluency in English and Amharic (oral and written); knowledge of additional Ethiopian languages is desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication and typing skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Data‑entry expertise and high computer literacy.
• Certificate in IT/Data entry or related training (advantageous).
• Basic web page design knowledge.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
