Sourcing Specialist III

About the role

The Sourcing Specialist III leads procurement and sourcing activities for a US‑government‑funded project, ensuring timely, competitive, transparent, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. The role works closely with technical, finance, logistics and program teams to translate project plans into procurement actions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a project procurement plan, forecasting needs and coordinating with technical and finance teams.
• Conduct compliant sourcing processes, prepare RFQs/RFPs, perform market research and evaluate supplier offers.
• Support contract negotiations, monitor supplier performance, and maintain supplier databases.
• Ensure adherence to USG procurement requirements, manage procurement risks, and support audits.
• Coordinate logistics for delivery and distribution, track assets, and assist with inventory management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply‑chain management, business administration, logistics or a related field.
• Minimum five years of procurement/sourcing experience, preferably with donor‑funded or USG projects.
• Strong knowledge of competitive procurement, contract management and compliance requirements.
• CIPS or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and vendor‑management abilities.
