Accountant – Financial Reporting & Treasury

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join a leading global manufacturer of metal packaging solutions. The role supports daily financial operations, ensures accurate reporting, and helps maintain strong internal controls in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions in the ERP system and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly reconciliations, process accounts payable/receivable, and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, calculate depreciation, and support month‑end/year‑end closings.
• Manage petty cash, prepare payment and receipt vouchers, and monitor cash balances.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations (VAT, withholding, payroll tax) and assist with internal and external audits.
• Support payroll accounting, monitor budget utilization, and report significant variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., Peachtree) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.

Required skills

• ERP/accounting software proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Reporting tools.
