Advocacy & External Engagement Graduate Intern

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Graduate Advocacy & External Engagement Intern to support its partnership with the African Union. The 12‑month programme offers hands‑on experience in policy analysis, research and communications while contributing to the organisation’s mission to protect vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on AU engagements and events, updating trackers and contact lists.
• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and take detailed minutes for the AU Liaison Office (AULO).
• Organise and file advocacy documents in Box and draft quarterly engagement reports.
• Research, analyse and draft four policy briefs or articles per year.
• Participate in monthly working groups (e.g., Regional Protection, GBV, Inter‑Agency Advocacy).
• Support budgeting, logistics and planning for external meetings, workshops and conferences.
• Maintain shared drives, ensure office cleanliness and welcome visitors.
• Update and manage AULO social‑media platforms.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in child advocacy and humanitarian work.
• Christian faith aligned with World Vision’s values.
• Excellent research, writing and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional teams and external partners.
