Anti-Corruption Officer

About the role

The Anti-Corruption Officer will lead the institution’s efforts to prevent, detect, and address corrupt practices within the micro‑finance environment. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures compliance with legal and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor anti‑corruption policies and procedures.
• Conduct investigations into alleged misconduct and prepare detailed reports.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with internal audit and external regulators to ensure adherence to laws.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.

Required profile

• LLM or LLB degree in Law.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar anti‑corruption or compliance role, preferably within a micro‑finance institution.
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of anti‑corruption legislation and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in drafting policies, reports and investigative documentation.
