Arts Project Manager (Arts in Action / Creative Growth)

About the role

The British Council is seeking an Arts Project Manager to deliver its global Arts in Action and Creative Growth programmes at country level. You will work with a small local team, manage partner relationships and collaborate across the Council’s worldwide arts network.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Arts in Action and Creative Growth activities in the assigned country.
• Manage day‑to‑day programme delivery, including budgeting, procurement, grants and contract administration.
• Identify and develop collaboration opportunities between UK and local creative sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with cultural organisations, industry leaders and delivery partners.
• Contribute to strategic planning, portfolio development and digital outreach.
• Lead communications and storytelling to showcase programme impact.
• Ensure compliance with equity, diversity, inclusion and anti‑racist practices.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the country’s arts and creative industries.
• Understanding of UK arts sector priorities and global cultural objectives.
• Commitment to EDI and anti‑racist principles.
• Proven experience in project and programme management.
• Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
