Assistant, Accountability and Effectiveness

About the role

The Assistant, Accountability and Effectiveness supports the A/E team in ensuring that accountability mechanisms and protection mainstreaming are embedded across all programmes. The role focuses on collecting, documenting and analysing community feedback and complaints, and reporting on the use of communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Support the A/E Manager and Officer in reporting on AAP and CHS commitments.
• Assist in developing community‑based communication plans and information‑sharing tools.
• Collect and document feedback and complaints received through Country Based Feedback and Response Mechanisms.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on feedback trends and channel utilisation.
• Support country offices in conducting protection risk assessments and maintaining Protection Mainstreaming Action Plans.
• Participate in routine solicitation of beneficiary feedback and ensure its integration into programme design.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with country teams.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian accountability standards (AAP, CHS).
• Experience with community feedback mechanisms and protection mainstreaming concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
