Branch Business Manager I

About the role

The Branch Business Manager is responsible for driving growth and operational excellence at the branch level. Reporting to senior bank leadership, the role focuses on customer acquisition, sales performance, and market expansion within the South Addis Ababa district.

Key responsibilities

• Lead branch‑level growth initiatives and ensure alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase sales performance through targeted campaigns and relationship management.
• Mobilise and deploy resources efficiently to support market expansion.
• Implement strategic projects that improve service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance.
• Monitor branch performance metrics and take corrective actions to meet targets.
• Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field (e.g., Marketing, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, IT).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
• Strong analytical ability and a results‑driven mindset.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies such as coaching, risk management, digital savviness, and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to adapt quickly, collaborate across teams, and continuously improve processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using core banking systems and related in‑house software.
• Project management capabilities.
