Building Manager

About the role

Elmi Olindo Contractors is looking for a responsible and service‑oriented Building Manager to oversee daily operations, maintenance, safety and administration of its facility in Bishoftu. The role requires coordinating multiple service providers, handling tenant concerns and ensuring the building remains in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and overall condition of the building.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, cleaning, security and other facility services.
• Monitor performance of service providers, contractors and support staff.
• Maintain records of maintenance, incidents, inspections and building operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security and facility‑management regulations.
• Supervise building staff and ensure duties are performed correctly.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify corrective actions.
• Support emergency preparedness and follow appropriate procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Relevant experience in building, property, facility or site management.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to supervise staff, coordinate contractors and manage multiple activities.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance, safety, security and facility operations.
• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent operational issues.
• Fluency in Afaan Oromo preferred and familiarity with the Bishoftu area encouraged.
