Chief of Party – Regrow Yirga Coffee Program

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a results‑oriented Chief of Party to lead the Regrow Yirga Coffee Program, a flagship initiative aimed at revitalising Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe coffee sector. The role oversees a multi‑stakeholder effort that trains tens of thousands of farmers, supports coffee processing stations, and launches an innovative Farmer Stumping Fund.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic guidance, leadership and technical oversight for the entire program.
• Ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities across the value chain.
• Manage program operations, budgets and donor reporting to achieve optimal return on invested funds.
• Coordinate with farmers, processors, exporters, industry associations, service providers and government institutions.
• Drive income creation for smallholder farmers while promoting environmental sustainability, gender equity and job creation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large, donor‑funded development programs, preferably in agriculture or coffee sectors.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in complex, multi‑partner environments.
• Understanding of climate‑resilient agricultural practices and rural development.
