Community Nutrition Promotor

About the role

The Community Nutrition Promotor (CNP) will support the implementation of nutrition activities within refugee camps, working closely with community outreach agents to improve the nutritional status of vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement community‑level nutrition activities in alignment with camp structures.
• Facilitate nutritional screening and provide technical support for Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programs (TSFP) and other interventions.
• Conduct cooking demonstrations and mass awareness sessions to promote healthy feeding practices.
• Collaborate with community outreach agents to ensure timely mobilization and monitoring of nutrition activities.

Required profile

• BSc degree or diploma in Public Health, Clinical Nursing, Nutrition or a related health field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years of experience with NGOs in CMAM programs; refugee‑camp experience is an asset.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Amharic.
• Willingness to work in remote, insecure environments and travel to nutrition rehabilitation centers, including weekends.
• Strong adherence to World Vision values and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Revised 2019 IMAM guideline and IYCF‑E training.
• Training on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM protocols.
