Country Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a global manufacturing firm, is looking for a Country Finance Manager to be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role combines strategic finance leadership with oversight of IT and supply‑chain functions, providing financial insight to senior management and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country’s financial strategy, budgets, forecasts and long‑term plans.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury operations and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, tax laws, statutory regulations and internal policies.
• Lead audit processes and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks and regulators.
• Design and strengthen financial controls, risk‑management frameworks and governance.
• Drive continuous improvement of ERP, finance, WMS and BI systems.
• Support business decisions through financial analysis, modelling, scenario planning and investment evaluation.
• Provide financial oversight of procurement, inventory and logistics, improving cost efficiency and working‑capital utilization.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CFA (preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, controls, audit and tax.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP, WMS and Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
