Digital Banking Officer

About the role

The Digital Banking Officer will work full‑time at Amhara Bank’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, focusing on the management and continuous improvement of the bank’s digital channels, including mobile and USSD platforms. The role ensures secure, user‑friendly, and efficient digital experiences for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance mobile and USSD banking platforms.
• Monitor digital transactions and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Coordinate with IT and operations teams to implement updates, new features, and service improvements.
• Analyse usage data, identify trends, and support digital product launches.
• Promote adoption of digital banking services through communication with branch staff.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.

Required profile

• Strong finance knowledge, including banking products, digital payment systems, and basic risk/compliance principles.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation for digital banking issues.
• Effective communication and business‑relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with loans and core retail banking services, especially digital origination and servicing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in digital banking, fintech or technology‑driven financial services is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and data‑interpretation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to evolving technologies.
