Digital Health Advisor – EMR, Interoperability & Health Systems

About the role

The Digital Health Advisor will provide technical leadership to strengthen Ethiopia’s digital health systems. Reporting to the Digital Health Lead, the role focuses on designing, implementing and optimizing electronic medical records and ensuring interoperability across health information platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment and integration of EMR systems and related digital health platforms.
• Enhance interoperability between health information systems to support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Support governance, service delivery and financing mechanisms within the health sector.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders across Ethiopia, including periodic travel to project sites.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity building for sustainable health system performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital health transformation and health systems strengthening.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Authorization to work in Ethiopia.
