About the role

We are seeking a Direct Purchasing Specialist on a maternity cover basis to join our Manufacturing Services team in Addis Ababa. This early‑career position offers hands‑on experience in procurement and supply‑chain operations, supporting the purchase of raw materials, spare parts, and technical services.

Key responsibilities

  • Convert Purchase Requests into Purchase Orders.
  • Coordinate procurement activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Track purchase orders, shipments, and related documentation.
  • Maintain procurement records and system data.
  • Assist with import and purchasing processes.
  • Prepare procurement reports and monitor order status.
  • Support supplier communication and procurement projects.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Planning Manager.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing & Supply Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Up to 1 year of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related area.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
