Director of Micro Insurance

About the role

The Director of Micro Insurance will spearhead the creation, launch, and scaling of micro‑insurance products within a technology‑driven financial institution. Reporting to senior leadership, this role combines strategic vision with operational execution to expand inclusive financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and roll out micro‑insurance products aligned with company objectives.
• Drive digital transformation and integrate technology platforms into insurance operations.
• Build and manage partnerships with insurers, fintech firms and distribution channels.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee budgeting, financial performance and profitability of the micro‑insurance unit.
• Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing team.
• Monitor market trends and innovate solutions for financial inclusion.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in a technology‑focused environment, preferably in insurance, fintech or digital financial services.
• Proven leadership, business development and product‑development experience.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and decision‑making abilities.
• High integrity, accountability and stakeholder‑management skills.
