Driver Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Driver Mechanic to provide full‑range transport services for our organization. The role combines safe vehicle operation with routine mechanical upkeep to ensure our fleet remains in optimal condition and supports our mission to help vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Operate buses, vans and cars safely, responding to service calls and adhering to safety regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule, including tire rotation, oil and filter changes, greasing parts, bulb replacement and fluid top‑ups.
• Inspect vehicles regularly, record conditions, and report any mechanical issues to supervisors for timely repair.
• Maintain clean and fueled vehicles, keep logbooks and fuel consumption records up to date.
• Secure original keys, tools, reserve tires/rims and ensure all safety kits are functional.
• Prepare and submit monthly vehicle usage reports.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in driver and vehicle maintenance roles.
• Educational level: 12th grade or TVET diploma.
• Valid third‑grade driving licence.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing Amharic and English.
