Finance Manager – Ethiopia

About the role

Bayer is seeking a Finance Manager to support value creation for its Ethiopia business. The role ensures reliable financial reporting, risk management, and provides strategic insights to the East Africa leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including fixed‑asset activity and revenue recognition.
• Perform expenditure variance analysis and support short‑term planning, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure timely tax submissions, coordinate external audits, and maintain compliance with local regulations.
• Deliver accurate financial data to global systems such as SAP, data.one, and CoFiPot.
• Provide analytical reports, standard presentations, and economic data to steer business decisions.
• Participate in country leadership, overseeing site administration with the General Services Manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Management.
• CPA or ACCA qualification.
• Over 8 years of experience in a busy accounting environment, including tax and treasury knowledge.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and high integrity.
