Group Director – Marketing & Corporate Communications

About the role

Raval Group is seeking an experienced marketing and communications professional to build and lead the Group’s marketing and corporate communications function, driving brand strategy and corporate reputation across Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop marketing and communications strategy, plans and budgets.
• Lead brand strategy and implementation across the Group.
• Manage public relations, media, corporate and executive communications.
• Oversee websites, social media and digital presence.
• Manage agencies, vendors and marketing budgets.
• Support business units with launches, events and sales materials.
• Build marketing processes, capabilities and the future team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in brand building, corporate communications and PR.
• Experience working across multiple businesses or sectors.
• Knowledge of the Ethiopian media and agency landscape.
• Fluency in Amharic and English.
• Experience in diversified groups, manufacturing, industrial products, building materials or technical B2B is an advantage.
