Inventory Officer

About the role

OLY Technologies is looking for an Inventory Officer to manage inventory records and support the finance team. The role involves maintaining accurate stock data, reconciling physical counts, and assisting with financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records in the accounting system and record all transactions.
• Reconcile physical stock counts with system records on a regular basis.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Monitor inventory valuation, calculate COGS, and prepare reports for management.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and assist internal and external audits.
• Identify slow‑moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least one year of professional experience in accounting or finance‑related roles.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws and accounting standards.
• High attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate financial statements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory management.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
