Investment & Ecosystem Development Manager (Ethiopia)

About the role

Renew Capital is seeking an Investment & Ecosystem Development Manager to strengthen its presence in Ethiopia. The role will involve engaging key stakeholders, enhancing the firm’s brand within the development and investment ecosystem, and managing research and private‑sector consulting projects while supporting the sourcing of high‑potential investment opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the consulting team in delivering private‑sector development projects, meeting milestones and producing high‑quality reports.
• Develop and facilitate gender‑smart programs, providing training and coaching to small businesses.
• Collaborate with management to improve SOPs and project efficiency.
• Build relationships with startups, development organisations, government agencies and private‑sector partners.
• Represent Renew Capital at events, host learning sessions and promote the blended‑finance model.
• Identify revenue‑generating initiatives to help create a financially sustainable country office.
• Assist the business intelligence team in sourcing and researching consulting proposals.
• Source potential investment targets, process leads in Hubspot and conduct financial and investment due diligence.

Required profile

• Strong background in project management, entrepreneurship or investment work.
• Ability to thrive in an adaptive, fast‑paced environment.
• High emotional intelligence, patience and excellent communication skills.
