Junior Consultant – Dairy Sector Project (BRIDGE+)

About the role

SNV is seeking a Junior Consultant to support the BRIDGE+ project, which aims to transform the dairy sector in Ethiopia. The role involves assisting service providers, agro‑input dealers, and dairy farmers with data collection, capacity building, and market linkage activities across Addis Ababa.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and coach service providers on using data collection tools, farm advice, and production data recording.
• Collect monthly extension and agro‑input dealer data from service providers and enter it into the Log Alto system.
• Provide follow‑up support to agro‑input dealers on business management, product diversification, and grant documentation.
• Support biogas technology promotion, bio‑slurry market linkages, and the city‑level school feeding study with faith‑based organisations.
• Facilitate capacity‑development services for smallholder and commercial dairy farmers, agro‑input dealers, and small‑scale dairy processors.
• Assist with technical training for milk quality inspectors, forage seed agronomic practices, and organise exhibitions, workshops, meetings, and field events.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional with interest in agriculture and dairy sector development.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.
• Willingness to travel within Addis Ababa and engage with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Data collection tools usage.
• Basic data entry (Log Alto system).
