Junior Customer Service Officer

About the role

The Junior Customer Service Officer will support branch operations by handling front‑line customer interactions, processing transactions, and assisting with digital onboarding. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the role focuses on delivering high‑quality service while ensuring compliance with bank standards.

Key responsibilities

• Open new accounts, register customers, and maintain document custody.
• Process cheque deposits, returned cheques, and other counter transactions.
• Assist senior CSOs with back‑office tasks, daily reconciliations (ATM/POS/Merchant/Branch books) and clearing suspense accounts.
• Promote bank products, services and digital channels to customers.
• Support deposit mobilization, recruit new clients and build relationships with merchants and agents.
• Answer customer inquiries while maintaining service quality and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance or related field.
• No prior experience required – fresh graduates are welcome.
• Presentable appearance, strong interpersonal skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Basic knowledge of banking operations.
