Junior Non‑Key Expert – Digital Connectivity for Agriculture & Education

About the role

NTU International is seeking three Junior Non‑Key Experts to support the Digital Connectivity Study for Agriculture and Education (PRIDA II). The experts will work from the African Union Commission premises in Addis Ababa, with most days performed remotely or on field missions across the five AU regions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess bandwidth availability, quality, cost and adoption for rural agriculture and education in AU Member States.
• Evaluate technical, economic and regulatory feasibility of alternative connectivity solutions for underserved areas.
• Review and compare sustainable financing and service‑delivery models, develop pricing and discount‑rate methodologies.
• Develop policy and implementation strategies to promote sustainable digital connectivity, defining stakeholder roles and investment frameworks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Communications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/ICT/IT, Economics or Law from a reputable university.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in connectivity market development in developing or emerging economies.
