Knowledge Management Specialist

About the role

SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia seeks a Knowledge Management Specialist to develop, strengthen, and institutionalize effective knowledge management systems. The role supports a culture of learning and evidence‑based decision‑making across the organization, working closely with Programme Quality leadership and MEAL teams.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, capture, document and share learnings from project participants and stakeholders.
• Organise and facilitate learning sessions and workshops to capture lessons learned and good practices.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge management strategy and framework in collaboration with the MEAL manager and national MEAL team.
• Ensure lessons learned are documented, integrated into projects, and disseminated to internal teams, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Support programme adaptation, enhance programme quality, and contribute to advocacy and influencing initiatives through systematic knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in knowledge management, learning facilitation, or related fields.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Programme Quality and MEAL teams.
• Strong understanding of evidence‑based decision‑making in humanitarian or development contexts.
