Logistics Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Assistant to support our fleet operations and ensure safe, efficient vehicle movement. The role involves reporting, vehicle dispatch, maintenance oversight, and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit vehicle performance reports, maintain service history records, and follow up on unresolved maintenance issues.
• Dispatch vehicles for daily field and town movements and assist the Fleet Manager with monthly and quarterly performance reports.
• Oversee minor repairs and routine checks (tires, oil), report major faults, and ensure vehicles are equipped with safety tools such as first‑aid kits and fire extinguishers.
• Drive assigned WVE vehicles, conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, enforce fleet policies, and record logbook entries and fuel consumption.
• Liaise with the Road Transport Authority and insurance providers to secure inspections, title certificates, and manage accident claims.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in management, mechanical or logistics management.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in fleet‑related activities.
• Valid Grade three driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using GPS tracking systems.
• Good command of the English language.
