Logistics Assistant (Warehouse)

About the role

The Logistics Assistant supports the supply chain team by coordinating routine warehouse activities, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate records and supporting programme sections with logistics information.

Key responsibilities

• Plan incoming local supplies based on logistics data to secure appropriate warehouse space.
• Receive supplies from vendors, complete proof of delivery, inspection reports, Goods Receipt Notices and put‑away documentation.
• Maintain accurate bin cards in the VISION system and store items according to batch, expiry and location requirements.
• File all warehouse documents (goods received notes, dispatch waybills, consignment details) for easy traceability.
• Keep warehouses clean, serviced and safe; oversee third‑party contractors and submit repair requests promptly.
• Assist the Senior Warehouse Associate with loading vehicles for dispatch.
• Coordinate the receipt and put‑away of returned supplies both physically and in VISION.
• Communicate with programme sections regarding returned supplies and provide timely logistics information.

Required profile

• Experience in warehouse or supply‑chain operations.
• Familiarity with logistics documentation such as purchase orders, GRNs and delivery notes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good coordination skills to work with vendors, contractors and programme teams.
