Partnerships Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term

About the role

The Partnerships Specialist (P-3) will support UNICEF Ethiopia’s mission by strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders, mobilising resources and influencing policy. Based in Addis Ababa, the role focuses on enhancing UNICEF’s visibility and impact across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the work plan for the assigned partnership area, ensuring timely and cost‑effective results.
• Identify, develop and promote new partnerships and resource‑mobilisation opportunities.
• Screen inquiries from potential collaborators and facilitate communication with relevant UNICEF units.
• Serve as focal point and resource for colleagues on strategic thematic areas related to partnership development.
• Conduct environmental scanning, knowledge exchange and policy influence activities to support UNICEF’s objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development, resource mobilisation or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian and development context in Ethiopia.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including UN agencies, NGOs and government bodies.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
