Portfolio Analytics Manager

About the role

The Manager, Portfolio Analytics will lead a team of Business Analysts and Graduate Trainees to provide data‑driven investment decisions, strengthen portfolio performance monitoring, and drive strategic analytics initiatives across Inkomoko’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing team of Business Analysts and Graduate Trainees, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of analytical excellence.
• Analyse portfolio performance metrics such as disbursements, collections, PAR, defaults, write‑offs and recoveries, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support portfolio forecasting, target setting and scenario modelling, providing forward‑looking assessments under various business and risk scenarios.
• Develop and maintain risk monitoring and early‑warning indicators, conduct stress testing and ensure timely escalation of material risks.
• Own executive‑level reporting, designing automated dashboards and analytical tools for portfolio visibility.
• Drive data and systems transformation projects to improve data quality, integration, governance and operational efficiency across countries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, financial analysis, portfolio management or credit risk management.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring analytics professionals and managing technology integration or systems change projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modelling.
• Strong expertise with MS Excel, financial modelling, credit risk modelling and portfolio stress testing.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau or Holistics.
• Understanding of data pipelines, core banking/investment platform integrations and API workflows.
• Project management and quality‑assurance methodology knowledge.
