Procurement Coordinator – Ethiopia (Fixed-Term)

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a proactive procurement professional to coordinate the purchase of office supplies and agricultural inputs across Ethiopia. The role ensures timely, cost-effective sourcing that supports the organization’s operations and farmer impact. You will work from the Addis Ababa office, collaborating with field teams in Wolita Sodo and other locations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify suppliers, update the supplier database and generate cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including tendering, quote collection, vendor selection and contract monitoring for a wide range of items.
• Negotiate prices and payment terms, aiming for at least 90 % on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Oversee complex procurements such as seed, creating detailed procurement calendars, quality‑control checks and coordinating on‑ground experts.
• Ensure all purchasing documentation is collected and shared with finance promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., procurement, business, agriculture).
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and excellent written and oral communication.
• Fluency in English and Amharic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.
• Basic data and digital analysis capabilities.
