Project Associate – Labor Migration & Social Inclusion

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support the implementation of Labor Migration and Social Inclusion (LMI) projects in Ethiopia. Working under the Senior Migration Management and Governance Officer and the National Programme Officer (LMI), the incumbent will act as the administrative and logistical focal point for project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support for LMI project implementation, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and IOM regulations.
• Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, meetings, assessments, and field missions, including venue booking, participant lists, and documentation.
• Prepare and process travel, purchase, and payment requests, and assist with consultant contracting.
• Facilitate internal coordination among finance, procurement, logistics, and programme units.
• Maintain continuity and efficiency across interconnected LMI initiatives such as labor mobility, training, capacity‑building, and diaspora engagement.

Required profile

• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Experience in supporting project logistics and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal units and external partners.
• Attention to detail and adherence to procedural guidelines.
