Project Facilitation Officer – Host Enterprise

About the role

The Project Facilitation Officer – Host Enterprise will lead the engagement of public institutions, private companies and civil‑society organisations to become internship host organisations under the iWork Programme. Working across Addis Ababa, Adama, Jimma, Harar and Dire Dawa, the officer will ensure that enterprises are ready to host interns, uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to youth employment outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, mobilise and assess potential host enterprises for the iWork internship programme.
• Onboard new host organisations, providing guidance on HRM improvements and safeguarding policies.
• Facilitate partnership agreements and maintain ongoing relationships with employers.
• Coordinate the placement process, matching trained youth with suitable host organisations.
• Monitor internship quality, collect feedback and report on programme impact.
• Support enterprises in creating inclusive and safe workplace environments.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business development or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and inclusive workplace practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with ability to work across multiple locations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Human Resource Management (HRM) processes.
• Familiarity with child and youth safeguarding policies.
• Experience in coordinating internship or apprenticeship programmes.
