Project Lead – Digital Supply Chain

About the role

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking a Project Lead to drive a Gates Foundation‑funded initiative in Ethiopia that enhances last‑mile visibility of vaccines and RMNCH commodities. The role provides strategic, technical and operational leadership to strengthen Ethiopia’s digital supply‑chain ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the project’s technical strategy, work plans, results framework and performance monitoring.
• Lead assessments of the existing digital supply‑chain ecosystem and design future‑state digital solutions.
• Oversee implementation of integration pilots, ensuring interoperability, governance and data use.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team covering supply‑chain logistics, digital health, data analytics and institutional capacity building.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Gates Foundation and senior Ethiopian government officials, fostering co‑leadership and transition to government ownership.
• Ensure documentation, learning capture and reporting to donors and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in health product or pharmaceutical supply‑chain management.
• Proven track record leading complex health‑systems strengthening projects, preferably in Ethiopia or similar contexts.
• Strong ability to work with government partners and international donors.
• Excellent managerial and communication skills for multidisciplinary team leadership.
