Project Manager – Consulting & Market Research

About the role

Excel Consultrade is looking for a strategic, results‑driven Project Manager to lead complex consulting engagements and multidisciplinary teams. The role covers field execution, market research, data gathering, financial analysis, strategic planning, and executive‑level client delivery across Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements from execution to delivery, ensuring quality control and timely results.
• Mentor and manage multidisciplinary teams, including field surveyors, analysts, and subject‑matter experts.
• Design and conduct market research, retail audits, and consumer insight studies.
• Develop feasibility studies, financial models, business plans, and investment advisory reports.
• Drive corporate and growth strategy projects such as market entry, route‑to‑market, and operational optimization.
• Present findings to clients, lead steering committee meetings, and facilitate C‑suite strategy workshops.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of professional experience, preferably in management consulting or market research.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related quantitative field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage project pipelines under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• SurveyCTO and KoboToolbox for data collection.
• Power BI, Excel, SPSS or Stata for data analysis and reporting.
• Financial modeling, market sizing, SWOT, PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Amharic.
