Sales and Support Engineer – HVAC Solutions

About the role

Our client, a leading HVAC solutions provider, is expanding its sales and business development operations in Ethiopia. The Sales and Support Engineer will drive HVAC sales growth, develop new business opportunities and provide technical support across the Ethiopian market.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell RLC VRF systems, BSS commercial HVAC products and related solutions, identifying new opportunities with consultants, contractors, developers, government entities and end‑users.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, maintain a sales pipeline, and achieve assigned sales targets.
• Review project drawings, specifications and tender documents, prepare equipment selections, technical submittals and compliance statements, and provide pre‑sales technical support.
• Coordinate with supply chain, operations and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery, support installation, commissioning and hand‑over activities, and monitor project milestones.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, act as the primary technical and commercial contact, and ensure high after‑sales satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 6‑8 years of HVAC sales and technical support experience, preferably with VRF systems and commercial HVAC products.
• Proven experience engaging consultants, contractors and government entities in East Africa or Ethiopia.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Ethiopia.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of VRF systems and commercial HVAC applications.
• Understanding of HVAC design principles, load calculations and equipment selection.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, packaged units, split and ducted systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and experience with CRM/ERP systems.
