Sales Attendant

About the role

The Sales Attendant will work full‑time on‑site at Ai‑Tech’s retail location in Addis Ababa. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them find the right products and ensuring a smooth purchasing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, provide product information and guide them through selection and purchase.
• Organise and restock merchandise, maintain a clean and orderly sales floor.
• Process transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system and handle cash.
• Respond to basic customer inquiries and resolve simple complaints.
• Monitor inventory levels, report shortages and support promotional displays.
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet sales targets and deliver excellent service.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
• Basic retail knowledge, including product presentation and upselling.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash with accuracy.
• Attention to detail for stock management and store presentation.
• Ability to stand for long periods, move merchandise safely and work flexible hours.
• Reliability, punctuality and adherence to company policies.
• Prior retail or sales experience is a plus.
• Basic proficiency in local languages and English.
