Senior Digital Connectivity/Platform Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Digital Connectivity/Platform Officer to lead the design, development and implementation of complex API and integration solutions that support core banking, digital banking and payment systems. Reporting to senior management, the role will ensure the API platform is secure, scalable and aligned with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of reusable, secure APIs and integration services.
• Establish and enforce API standards for design, security, versioning, documentation and lifecycle management.
• Drive performance, reliability, availability and scalability improvements for the API platform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing and alerting practices, and support capacity planning, high‑availability and disaster‑recovery initiatives.
• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines for API and integration services.
• Oversee quality assurance, including functional, performance, load and resilience testing for web, mobile and digital applications.

Required profile

• Strong background in Machine Learning, NLP and Large Language Models with hands‑on experience in model building, prompt engineering and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Proven experience developing conversational AI/chatbots and using frameworks such as Rasa, Dialogflow or Microsoft Bot Framework.
• Extensive experience implementing API Gateway solutions (e.g., Kong, Apigee, WSO2, MuleSoft) and managing the full API lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of API security mechanisms including OAuth2/OIDC, API key management and mTLS.
