Senior Editor & Area Manager

About the role

Wegagen Bank, a leading private commercial bank in Ethiopia, is seeking two qualified professionals to join its team: a Senior Editor for the Marketing and Corporate Communication Directorate and an Area Manager for its Humera branch network. The Senior Editor will oversee the creation and quality of the bank’s written communications, while the Area Manager will drive branch performance and customer growth in the Humera area.

Key responsibilities

• Senior Editor: Ensure clarity, accuracy and relevance of all written content across multiple platforms.
• Senior Editor: Review and edit materials, provide constructive feedback to contributors.
• Senior Editor: Develop editorial guidelines and align content strategy with audience needs and industry trends.
• Area Manager: Manage and coordinate resource mobilization, customer base expansion and operational excellence of branches under the area office.
• Area Manager: Support the bank’s growth initiatives and ensure compliance with banking standards.

Required profile

• Senior Editor: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field; minimum one year experience as an editor or equivalent.
• Area Manager: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics or a related field; at least five years of experience in banking or financial services, including three years in a branch management role.
