Senior HR, Safeguarding and Admin Officer

About the role

The Senior HR, Safeguarding and Admin Officer provides operational support across human resources, administration and safeguarding functions for the Area Office and its project locations. The role ensures recruitment, staff management, performance and learning systems are applied in line with organisational policies while maintaining a safe, inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment planning with field offices, maintain recruitment trackers and support hiring managers through the full recruitment cycle.
• Promote gender equality and internal staff promotion, conduct interviews, vetting, reference checks and communicate offers.
• Manage staff movements including promotions, transfers, temporary duty and acting assignments.
• Oversee safeguarding mechanisms, case management and compliance with child protection policies.
• Administer leases, assets, and record‑keeping to support operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Provide regular HR reporting to the Field Office Manager and maintain functional relationships with HR, Admin and Safeguarding leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR leadership, recruitment, staff administration and safeguarding within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work with field teams remotely and on‑site, and to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of gender equality, staff promotion processes and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to undergo a police check despite no direct contact with children.
