Senior IT Audit Expert – Manual Update & Training

About the role

DAI is seeking a Senior IT Audit Expert to support Ethiopia's Office of the Federal Auditor General (OFAG) in updating its IT Audit Manual and associated Working Papers. The consultant will also design and deliver a dissemination workshop and two weeks of classroom training for senior auditors and related staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct consultations with the Technical Facility Unit (TFU) and OFAG working group to define the assignment scope and produce an inception report with a detailed work plan.
• Review the existing Gap Analysis and identify sections of the IT Audit Manual that require revision.
• Update the OFAG IT Audit Manual (Version 2018) and Working Papers to reflect the approved changes and Ethiopian context.
• Prepare workshop materials and facilitate a one‑day dissemination workshop for senior management (≈40 participants).
• Develop two training modules and deliver ten days of classroom training across two weeks for IT auditors and related staff.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in IT audit, preferably within public sector or development contexts.
• Proven ability to revise audit manuals and develop practical training materials.
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and classroom settings.
• Experience working with government audit institutions is an advantage.
