Senior Project Associate – Safe Motherhood & Adolescent Health

About the role

The Senior Project Associate will support the Compliance and Systems Director in delivering People in Need’s Ethiopia programme, focusing on safe motherhood and adolescent health. The role combines strategic oversight of finance, procurement, logistics and HR functions with capacity building across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Country Director in senior management meetings and decision‑making, ensuring systems and operations align with programme strategy and donor requirements.
• Oversee finance, procurement, logistics and HR teams, guaranteeing compliance with internal procedures, donor contracts and anti‑corruption standards.
• Lead the development, monitoring and reporting of the operational budget, financial forecasts and procurement plans.
• Supervise audits, annual closing, partner selection and capacity‑building activities for staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing compliance, finance, procurement or HR functions within an international NGO or similar organization.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with donors, authorities and partners.

Required skills

• Experience with financial management systems such as Navision.
• Knowledge of procurement guidelines and logistics management.
• Familiarity with HR procedures and staff capacity‑development tools.
