We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in backend development to join a leading global software and IT services provider on a contract basis. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work remotely while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, build and maintain high‑performance platforms used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and communicate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, Go.
• Cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
