Senior Zendesk Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Zendesk Engineer to join our global engineering network on a six‑month contract (with auto‑renew). The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, configuring, and extending Zendesk‑based customer and employee service solutions for our client.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, customise and maintain solutions on the Zendesk Platform.
• Develop reusable Zendesk apps and extensions using the Zendesk Apps Framework (ZAF) and ZAF SDK.
• Integrate Zendesk Customer Service and AI capabilities with third‑party systems.
• Support Employee Service Platform, Workforce Management and Quality Assurance solutions.
• Design, develop, test and deploy modern web and mobile applications across client‑side and server‑side technologies.
• Build and maintain Web APIs (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON) and database solutions (MS SQL Server, T‑SQL, PL/SQL).
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable software.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with the Zendesk Platform.
• Relevant Zendesk certifications (Customer Service Platform, Zendesk AI).
• Strong full‑stack development background.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a distributed team.
