Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, staging, and distributing merchandise across hotel departments while ensuring food safety and inventory accuracy. This full‑time position supports daily operations by maintaining organized storage areas and adhering to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, notifying supervisors of low stock.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and inspect deliveries for freshness and quality.
• Refuse damaged or incorrect items and follow food safety policies.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and positive relationships with guests and co‑workers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
