Woreda Officer

About the role

The Woreda Officer will lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of drug‑susceptible and drug‑resistant TB care activities within assigned woredas. Reporting to the Zonal TB Coordinator, the officer works directly with health facilities, private partners and community groups to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee comprehensive DS‑TB and DR‑TB activities, including Public‑Private Mix (PPM) initiatives and Treatment Follow‑up Centers.
• Coordinate mapping of key affected and vulnerable populations (KVP) and drive Community TB Care (CTBC) interventions.
• Monitor performance, ensure adherence to national TB standards, and continuously improve service delivery.
• Prepare regular reports for Zonal Coordinators and collaborate with regional health bureaus.

Required profile

• Experience in TB or public‑health program implementation at the district or community level.
• Strong knowledge of TB case‑finding, treatment protocols and reporting requirements.
• Ability to work across multiple woredas and coordinate with government and partner stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and monitoring skills to track project outcomes.
