Accountant – Manufacturing & Supply Operations

About the role

The Accountant will join Dorcase’s finance team in Jijiga, overseeing daily financial operations for a leading manufacturer of door hardware. This full‑time, on‑site position supports accurate reporting, cost control and compliance across manufacturing and supply activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile financial transactions, maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payments.
• Track inventory‑related costs and assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost‑analysis for production and distribution.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries and variance analysis.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement and sales teams to provide transparent financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Strong bookkeeping and general‑ledger management experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, taxation principles and audit processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Advanced Excel or other spreadsheet/reporting tools.
